ABOUT US

We support parents through a tech and community-based approach to impact children’s learning and development. The support ensures that children can access appropriate learning solutions to achieve foundational literacy and numeracy. We onboard consenting parents for support through events organised in the community or schools. Once onboarded, the parents typically receive a call per month to understand their current challenges, build an understanding of children’s learning level and share learning solutions which is based 'Teaching at the Right Level' approach. A typical support cycle for the parent includes:-
1) Understanding the child’s reading and math levels through a standardised assessment over a phone call.
2) Sharing the child’s assessment results over the chatbot and solutions that are explained to the parent over the call by champion parents known as Saajhedars
3) Talking through any questions and suggestions that parents have
This cycle of call support continues till the child achieves their highest level in Foundational literacy and numeracy. Additionally, the parent has the option to reach out to us over WhatsApp and the helpline anytime they face a challenge with their child's learning. In FY 2023-24, we supported ~20,000 children in their learning, of which 8,500 children improved their Maths and Hindi learning.

OUR APPEAL

Saajha is dedicated to ensuring quality learning is accessible to children by empowering parents to actively participate in their children's education. Our approach combines the Teaching at the Right Level methodology with technology and community-led support to provide essential information and support for parents and children.

Our Impact:
As of FY 2023-24, we have supported approximately 20,000 children through calls and regular WhatsApp messages. Among these, around 8,500 children have improved their foundational literacy and numeracy levels. This was achieved through the following approach:-

Parental Engagement: Through regular calls and interactions with parents, we encourage them to participate in their child's learning journey
Community Mobilization: We bring together community champions, who are parents from similar communities, to support other parents. This creates a strong community network of support for parents.
Innovative Learning Tools: Our virtual learning assessments and tailored support systems are easily accessible over a Whatsapp chatbot and a calling helpline
