ABOUT US

Salaam Baalak Trust Delhi is a not-for-profit and non-governmental organisation, based in Delhi, India; registered under the Indian Registration Act (1908). The Trust was established in December 1988 and provides support services for street and working children in the National Capital Region.

36 years ago, we discovered the world of street children within the harsh, raw, underbelly of Delhi. And yet, it was a life these children had chosen in preference to home and family - which had obviously become entirely intolerable. There is so much missing from the lives of these children - food, security, health, education, and love. We urged ourselves as these resources are the birthright of all children as well as basic requirements - a secure space to sleep, play, and dream.

OUR APPEAL

Appeal for Support: Empowering Special Needs Children in Vulnerable Situations

Dear Friends and Supporters,

At Salaam Baalak Trust (SBT), we are committed to providing safe spaces and a nurturing environment for street and working children, including those with disabilities. The harsh realities of street life leave a profound impact on these young lives, often hindering their mental health and development. Children with mental and physical disabilities face additional challenges, making it even more vital for them to access essential services.

Your support can make a significant difference. With your help, we can offer care, special education, therapies, and rehabilitation services tailored to meet the unique needs of these children. Together, we can empower them to overcome their challenges and build brighter futures.

Join us in making a positive impact. Your contribution can transform lives and offer hope to those who need it the most.

Warm regards,
Salaam Baalak Trust
